Q: How much does it cost to hire?
A: Standard rate is for our four person spa is $220 for 3 days and our 6 person spa is $280 for 3 days. Additional days and accessories are extra.
Q: How does it compare to a permanent spa?
A: Because these are inflatable they're very soft and comfortable to use. We think they feel better.
Q: How much does the spa weigh?
A: Around 700kg when fully filled (4 person spa), 1200kg (6 person spa), almost all decks and grounds should be fine.
Q: How much water does the spa hold?
A: Around 660 litres (4 person spa) or 1170L (6 person spa) – usually will not need refilled in a three day hire
Q: How much power will it cost to the run the spa for the duration of the hire?
A: An average of $15, depending on your power company
Q: How long does it take to warm up?
A: Anywhere from 10-15 hours depending on water temperature and season
Q: Is the spa childproof?
A: The spa comes with childproof latches on the lid.
Q: Is it safe for animals to be around?
A: The spa is inflatable, so animals may be able to puncture this and cause damage to the spa. It is recommended that the spa is in an area where animals are not able to access and pets are inside while in use.
Q: Is power required?
A: Yes the spa will need to be connected to power for the duration of the hire as well as setup and removal.
Q: What area do I need to have for the spa?
A: We recommend approximately 2x2m of relatively flat ground although this does not have to be soft as the spa is on a platform.
Q: What temperature can the spa reach?
A: The maximum temperature is 40 degrees. Most of our customers like a temperature between 38 and 40 degrees, though young children may prefer 36-34 degrees.
Q: Do I need to be there for the set up and removal?
A: Yes we will require one person to be there when we arrive to set up to grant us access to power and water as well as supervise the filling of the spa. Someone usually needs to be there as well when we remove it as this will likely require access to the inside of the property. This may take slightly over an hour. If you or someone else be cannot there it will incur an additional fee of $50 as well as arrangements for access.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: There is a $50 deposit due upon booking, and the remaining balance and security deposit is due 7 days prior to delivery. If the booking is cancelled 14 days prior to the booking then the deposit will be fully refunded. Within 14 days the deposit is non-refundable, however the booking can be rescheduled. The deposit in rescheduled bookings is not refundable.
Q: Where will you deliver?
A: We will deliver and pick up for free within a 30 minute drive from Dunedin AND Christchurch city centres. Please contact to discuss beyond this.
Q: Is there any chemical treatment needed?
A: As part of the standard hire we include a continuously dosing chlorine disinfectant. For town supply water there is no further treatment needed during the 3 day rental. If you wish to extend the rental this will require a check-up treatment. Each further day is $50. Importantly if you are using an alternative water supply such as an bore hole just let us know for no extra cost.
Q: Can I eat food and drink in the Spa?
A: Drinking in the spa is perfectly fine for water based liquids (i.e. not smoothies). Food is not allowed in the Spa. Soiling the spa with food or other solids will incur a minimum fee of $50 for clean up.
Q: What if it stops working for some reason?
A: These Spas are very simple and reliable to run. We include a laminated instruction booklet, but if you have any questions or issues please call us immediately 24/7.
Q: How many people can fit in the Spa?
A: We have 2 Spa options. The standard package spa can fit up to 4 people. However we also have a larger spa that can fit up to 7.
Q: Do I have to pay a bond?
A: Yes we take a $100 bond with the final payment. This is refunded within 7 days to your nominated account when the spa has been collected in the same condition in which it was delivered. Fees will be taken from the security deposit.
